Recreation park Het Lageveld has a large recreational lake with beaches and various facilities for water sports such as swimming, surfing, sailing and fishing. There are hiking, mountain biking and cycling trails around the area that allow visitors to enjoy the natural surroundings. In the playground, children can let loose. Dad's and mom's have also been thought of, because within walking distance there is a catering facility for a snack and a drink. Come along and see for yourself!

I wouldn't be surprised if you get itchy to get out and about. Cycling, walking or mountain biking is the best way to discover our most beautiful spots. Take for example the Wierdense Veld: raised bog, grassy heath, rare birds, sundew, lavender heath. You almost have to be careful not to just look through the lens of your camera, because this is what you want to keep photographing. So beautiful! And don't be alarmed if you hear munching: there are as many as hundreds of moorland sheep roaming the Wierden Field. Mêêêêêh, who neugt oe!
